*UPDATE*

We posted on social media about Erin’s Matcha Tea Hack and got several inquires about it so we put it up here with a few more tips and tricks.

I recently made a new discovery that is mind blowing and life changing…

MATCHA FRAPPUCCINO — who else loves this??? I know I do but look at these ingredients. The suugars and carbs are through the roof, not to mention the ingredients that leave you streching your head wondering, WHY are those even in there?

I love me some Starbucks BUT there are certain things you can get and certain things you should probably do without.

BUT… I found this green ORGANIC “superfood” powder from Walmart last week. Yes, you read correctly…. Walmart.I decided to give it a whirl, not because I thought it would be like matcha tea but because I needed more greens in my life.

So I mixed a scoop of the powder with water… closed my eyes and took a sip and was amazed. WHAT?! How does this taste good? It tastes like… hmmm… MATCHA TEA!!!!!!


Then the next day I mixed a scoop of the powder with coconut milk instead. 100% like a melted matcha frap from starbucks…. so thennnnnn I added ice and blended.
MAGIC. It is a mactcha frappuccino from Starbucks minus all the bad stuff ANDDDD you get so many greens.

Other things to add in some character:

  • Sea Salt (Aztec)
  • Ginger
  • Tumeric
  • Cinnamon
  • Coconut oil
  • Local, organic honey — watch how much of this to not increase the sugars
  • Nuts — almonds, walnuts, sunflower seeds, etc.

I don’t combine all of these together but each day I try something new so I can make sure I have a well-rounded diet including all the spices, herbs, vitamins, and minerals needed to keep me at optimal performance.
