Hey ya’ll 🙂 I hope you had a great weekend. This was the first weekend since I moved to Florida where it was sunny all weekend for once.  For the most part, it has been monsooning everyday since I crossed the border into Florida.  Needless to say, I was super pumped!

Per our Saturday ritual, we went to the Farmer’s Market. When we got to there I was super cranky because I slept in a little more than I wanted to and we didn’t have a lot of time BUT Cameron reminded me to enjoy the time we did have and not dwell on what we can’t change. This is something I constantly have a challenge with but it’s so true. Focus on what you can do, not what you can’t. Most of the time, it’s just being positive and enjoying the day.

We wound up having such a good time just like always, even though we didn’t have as much time. I got my fruit of the week!!! I have no idea what’s it’s called but it tastes amazing. It was a little pricier than I anticipated and harder to deal with. The people selling them told me you have to wait until certain pieces fall off and you have to do what the fruit says… if you force it, it won’t taste good. Soooo that was probably a one and done.

We got some amazing spices and my favorite part of the day, a treat from the bakery! We got the vegan bars again that are little pieces of heaven. That prompted us to make our own on Sunday night. That recipe is on our site!! 🙂

In the afternoon, we watched one of my friend’s play soccer. She plays for a semi pro league where we live and that really took me back. I wish I had my cleats! I just wanted to run on the field.

That evening, Cameron and I explored an area called Tradition. It’s an up and coming area, similar to a place we used to go to all the time in South Carolina. Favorite part of the weekend, sitting in the park in Tradition. We just sat and enjoyed the night while brainstorming ideas to share with you guys.

Our weekend was pretty action packed. Sunday we went about an hour South to check out one of the malls. We only went into two stores – Oil & Vinegar and Teavana. I think this officially makes me an adult 😛 I LOVED these stores. We picked out an awesome Lemon Oil and a Wild Cherry Balsamic Vinegar. I am so excited to have a salad with this blend!!

After that we walked by Teavana. First of all, it smelled AMAZING. Secondly, Cameron has started to drink tea instead of coffee lately so we talked with one of the people who works there – the tea guy with the bow tie!! He was literally the coolest and most knowledgeable tea wizard ever. Cam got some enegery boosting tea and I got some sleepy time tea. We each got these personal tea making cups. I used it Sunday night and I am definitely going to use it everynight.

The last part of our weekend, before our Sunday night baking fun, we went to Whole Foods. Have you ever been there?! Before Sunday, I knew about it but I just thought it was jsut another grocery store. JUST ANOTHER GROCERY STORE!? HA! I literally felt like I time traveled to a different universe. Cam and I always look for foods that have things that will fuel our body and not harm. This store literally had all of that and more. I don’t even know how long we were there but it was awesome. We of course got groceries but also random things like homemade soaps.

I am just seriously amazed with this place. Several times I have gone to multiple stores to find something I was looking for like agave or dark chocolate I can bake with that’s over 70 percent cacao. They had like five shelves for each of those things!!!! Then there were Halo Top flavors I’ve never even heard of. There fish was actually wild and not farm raised. It was hard to find non organic fruits and veggies, which usually never happens. (We bought the organic ones but you get my point).

Did I spend more money than I wanted to? Absolutely. But I was super happy with the products I got. You get what you pay for and I will definitely be back.

Have a great week friends! And don’t forget, live in the moment – don’t dwell on things you can’t change and focus on fueling your body.

Fuel your boyd right.
